Zuoyong Li, born in 1980, Ph.D., Professor, master supervisor of Fuzhou University, Wenzhou University, as well as Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University. He is a deputy director of scientific research office of Minjiang University, a director of Fujian key laboratory of information processing and intelligent control, an executive director of Fujian artificial intelligence society & the director of its youth working committee, a deputy director of Fuzhou digital medical health industry technology innovation center, an executive member of CCF & CCF YOCSEF Fuzhou. In July 2002, he received the bachelor's degree in computer science and technology from Fuzhou University. In March 2006, he received the master's degree in computer system structure from Fuzhou University. In July 2010, he received the doctor's degree in computer application technology from Nanjing University of Science and Technology. He went to Hong Kong University of Technology as a research assistant for cooperative research from February 2011 to August 2011. He visited University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA, from July 2014 to February 2015. He has worked in the College of Computer and Control Engineering of Minjiang University from August 2002 to now.

In recent years, his researches mainly focus on image processing, pattern recognition, and machine learning. He won one second prize of Guangxi Natural Science Award (ranking third). He published nearly 80 academic papers, including nearly 50 SCI papers. He successively hosted three projects of National Natural Science Foundation, 10 provincial and department level projects, and two municipal level projects. He has published one academic monograph and authorized nearly 10 national invention patents. He was selected into the cultivation plan of outstanding young scientific research talents in Fujian Province (2013), the support plan for outstanding talents in the new century in Fujian Province (2015), the young scholars plan of Minjiang University (2015), the distinguished professor of Minjiang University (2019), and the top young talents in Fuzhou City (2019). His academic papers won the first prize of the 13th Fujian Natural Science excellent academic paper selection, the second prize of the 11th Fujian Natural Science excellent academic paper selection, and the third prize of the 12th Fujian Natural Science excellent academic paper selection, respectively. He won the honorary titles of 2013 Fuzhou education system advanced worker and 2014 Fuzhou advanced educator. He Led the scientific research team to obtain "Fuzhou May 1st pioneer post" (2016), "Fuzhou May 4th Youth Medal (collective)" (2018), "the first Minjiang University Youth May 4th Medal" (2017), and "Minjiang University May 4th Youth Medal (individual)" in 2018. He has been the reviewer of some journals such as IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics: Systems, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, IEEE Signal Processing Letters, Applied Soft Computing, Pattern Recognition Letters, Digital Signal Processing, and Acta Automatica Sinica.
